The south coast of England is punctuated by small coves and sandy beaches recessed into the cliff line. There is beauty in these constantly changing seascapes where eroded, weathered cliff rocks plunge into the ocean. One of these coves is represented in this digitally modified acrylic on canvas image.
Cornwall is one of those places with a mystical charm to it. From Arthur’s court at Tintagel Castle to scatterings of druid relics, there is a bit of magic in the land.
The original painting for this work was done from sketches and photos taken on the south coast of Cornwall. Acrylics were applied with a palette knife onto the canvas, creating a composition that reflects the wild and rugged nature of the coastline.
