Bonneville Untethered

Art from ArcheanWeb: Part of the Columbia River Gorge Series

On its journey to the Pacific Ocean the Columbia River pools behind many dams. The first dam upstream of Portland is the Bonneville Dam, stretching across the river from Oregon to Washington. “Bonneville Untethered” depicts a westward looking view across the lake upstream from the dam. Mountains on the Oregon side of the river plunge into the pooled water, and the dam and its infrastructure vanish.
